Phoenix, Ariz. -- Arizona Family Florist, a local family owned and operated floral and gifting retailer located in downtown Phoenix, has partnered with Arango Green Growers, a family owned flower farm in California to help gather much needed donations for families affected by Hurricane Harvey. To pay it forward and encourage customers to donate, Arizona Family Florist is offering 10 Stems of California sunflowers for free in exchange for a donation of any items from the Most Needed list. This list includes items such as: new socks and underwear, new warm-ups, pillows/cases & blankets, flip flops, towels & wash clothes, toiletries and baby formula, wipes, diapers and bottles.

Patrons can donate an item to the Hurricane Harvey Project at Arizona Flower Market and receive two 5-stem sunflower bouquets, free of charge.

"Although our business is in Arizona, we were born and raised in Texas and our family has a strong connection to those suffering. We want to do anything we can to help people who are in need of basic necessities," says Brent Denham, one of the founding members of Arizona Family Florist. "The floral industry is primarily made up of a generous group of family-owned businesses who are used to helping their customers during the most significant times in their life. Whether a birthday, anniversary, wedding or funeral, we as an industry help those in need and the disaster in Texas is no different. We want to use the power of fresh flowers to encourage our amazing customers to donate much needed items for the families affected."

Donations must be dropped off at the Arizona Flower Market, located just south of Downtown Phoenix at 2050 S 16th St., Suite 105, Phoenix AZ 85034, during regular business hours. Mon-Fri 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sat 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sun 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. To accommodate the most customers and raise the most donations, Arizona Family Florist is placing a limit of 10 stems (two bunches) of sunflowers per person making a donation. All donations will be given to the local Salvation Army Phoenix chapter.
