Update: Hanover Home & Garden receives 'bittersweet' goodbye from community

For 29 years, the owners of Hanover Home & Garden center welcomed everyone, from the green of thumb to the botanically challenged, who wandered through their doors. This July, the center is expected to close its doors for good, according to a statement posted to social media Friday.
Owners Dennis Axline and his wife, Karen, are planning to retire soon in order to enjoy more time with friends and family, Axline said Friday. The business, located on Eichelberger Street, is currently having a retirement sale and will be closing the doors mid-July, the post states.
