Pennsylvania-based Chestnut Hill Nursery closed June 29 after 48 years of business as the owners begin their first phase of retirement.
The company’s landscape construction and maintenance divisions will continue operating as normal.
“After 48 amazing years of growing with you through our retail garden center, we have made the heartfelt decision to close that chapter of our business,” Jim Scocozza said in a statement.
Chestnut Hill Nursery was started in 1977 by Jim and Deb Scocozza.
“Your trust, support and friendship over the years have meant the world to us,” Jim Scocozza said in the statement. “It has been an honor to help bring beauty to your gardens and outdoor spaces and to help you with advice so many times along the way.”
