Consumers are increasingly willing to spend more and go out of their way to patronize a small business because of the local economic impact and the quality of service and products, according to a survey conducted by The UPS store:

Information courtesy of a proprietary panel survey conducted April 4-8, 2014 by The UPS Store, Inc., franchisor of The UPS Store network, with 1,344 general consumers age 18+ and 356 small business owners.
Shopping the store brand
98%
of shoppers purchase private label food items like snacks and cereal or cleaning products at least some of the time.
That number has increased since 2013, when
96%
of consumers said they purchase these products some of the time.
14%
of respondents said they always purchase the private label brand if it is offered.
2%
of consumers said either that they are not aware of private label products or they never purchase the brands.
