We’ve always told stories with numbers. Before “Market Meter” became “Market Buzz” and in the days before “Noteworthy Numbers,” we gathered ideas into easily comprehensible lists that were both informative and fun to read.
Speaking of fun, we had a blast diving through 20 years of numbers in our old issues as part of our 20th anniversary. This was back when the latest technology was a basic point-of-sale system, and delayed IRS refund paper checks affected monthly retail sales because direct deposit wasn’t an option yet. And long before Buzzfeed, we were giving you a numbered list of reasons to host a fall event.
