Clever touches help these retailers create imaginative container-garden areas


Putting up a façade >> Noble Landscape &Garden Center, Blaine, Minn.
Noble Landscape & Garden Center uses a house façade to show the real-world possibilities for container
gardens. The store took a cue from the surrounding neighborhood, and created a faux house-front that looks similar to homes in nearby subdivisions.


Contain yourself >>Meadow View Growers, New Carlisle, Ohio
An archway of terra-cotta pots invites customers into Meadow View Growers’ container-garden showcase.

The store launched its “Contain Yourself” program in 2007. Approximately 4,500 square feet is dedicated to this product segment. The container garden area houses component plants, pottery and supplies.

 

Belly up to the (potting) bar >>  County Line Landscape Nursery, Harleysville, Pa.

The folks at County Line added a little sun and fun to their container-garden area with some affordable props. A beach umbrella, plastic pails and a neon sign encourage customers to belly up to the (potting) bar.
