Editor Patrick Alan Coleman caught up with Justin Hancock, Costa Farms' director of research and development, on the TPIE 2026 show floor to learn about the Twist.Lift.Water self-watering plant pots.
Florida’s own Costa Farms took home multiple honors this year at the 2026 Tropical Plant International Expo in Fort Lauderdale.
Among the selections of lauded plants, the Miami-based houseplant and tropical grower also received praise for a new pot concept built largely on customer feedback about its self-watering pots.
The new pot system, called Twist.Lift.Water, was deemed innovative enough to receive a Favorite Trending Product Award from TPIE.
Garden Center and Greenhouse Management magazines Editor Patrick Alan Coleman caught up with Justin Hancock, Costa Farms' director of research and development, on the TPIE show floor to learn more about the pot, why it was changed and how it helps solve a dirty consumer complaint.
