For the first-time ever, the All-America Selections (AAS) Summer Summit, "The Urban Ag Experience," will be held in conjunction with the Home Garden Seed Association’s annual meeting and will take place in the month of October.
All-America Selections and Home Garden Seed Association, along with National Garden Bureau, will take attendees on a tour of innovative urban agriculture spots around Dallas, including the Dallas Arboretum, Texas A&M’s AgriLife Research center and Ruibal’s Plants of Texas urban garden center, located next to the Dallas Farmers Market, which is undergoing major renovations. In close proximity is Fort Worth, another area of innovation, so tours of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas are included that day, followed by an urban foodie experience.
