The International Association of Horticulture Producers (AIPH), in partnership with FloraCulture International (FCI), has announced the deadline to apply for the 2017 International Grower of the Year award.
AIPH will accept applications for the award through July 31.
The awards have recognized achievements in the horticulture sector since 2010. They recognise best practice in horticultural production by ornamental production nurseries from around the globe and celebrate the expertise and energy those nurseries give to horticulture.
“It’s exciting to see how the award has increased our team’s drive to continue to grow, improve, and be the very best we can be," said Jose Costa, Executive Vice President of Costa Farms foliage division – IGOTY winner 2016 and Finished Plants and Trees Gold winner. "It was an amazing way to kick off the 2016 season.”
The event commences with a drinks reception followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony. After the awards there will be an evening of celebration with live entertainment and international networking.
Categories to be judged include:
- Finished plants and trees
- Cut flowers
- Young plants
Bronze, Silver and Gold will be awarded, where applicable, to each category. Each category winner will go on to be judged for the final International Grower of the Year award.
