Groupon Grassroots has teamed up with six non-profits and their partners for a six-week long promotional campaign. The Groupon will run from Nov. 12 through Dec. 23 with a “Buy it for a Friend” option, useful for the gift-giving season.
If one person donates $10, the National Wildlife Federation will plant and care for one tree. All $10 donations will be matched with $20 worth of plants by American Beauties Native Plants, up to 3,000 plants, for NWF to use in community planting projects across America.
When you make a donation to plant a tree through NWF’s Trees for Wildlife program, you are helping NWF reach its goal of planting 75,000 trees during National Wildlife Week, March 18-24, 2013, in celebration of their 75th anniversary. NWF only plants trees in the continental U.S., and only tree species that are native to the region where they are planted.
A portion of the proceeds from every American Beauties Native Plant sold goes to support the National Wildlife Federation’s educational programs.
