American Garden Award recently announced a new publicity opportunity for retailers selling any or all of the six 2012 AGA contestants and/or any of the three 2011 AGA winners.
The six contestants for 2012 are the following varieties:
- Angelonia angustifolia ‘Serena Blue’
- Begonia boliviensis ‘Santa Cruz Sunset’
- Petchoa x hybrida ‘SuperCal Pink Ice PPAF’
- Petunia ‘Surfinia Deep Red’
- Gazania ‘Big Kiss White Flame’ F1
- Sunflower ‘Goldie’ F1
The three winners from 2011 are:
- ‘SunPatiens Variegated Spreading White’
- Dahlia ‘Dahlinova Hypnotica Lavender’
- Petunia ‘Easy Wave Neon Rose’
For retailers selling any or all of these new varieties, you can have your store(s) listed on the AGA website as a resource for consumers looking to purchase these plants. Simply e-mail Beth Heidel at bheidel@aas-ngb.org with the following information and your store will be listed for no charge during the 2012 gardening season:
- Your store name
- The participating AGA Display Garden near you (if applicable)
- Your full address
- Your website URL
