On Monday, March 23, AmericanHort Senior Vice President of Advocacy & Research Craig Reggelbrugge and Chief Economist Dr. Charlie Hall as they discuss the latest activity and the general state of the U.S. economy amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Reggelbrugge, per AmericanHort, will cover federal relief programs, the status of labor processing and any "collaborative work being done to keep horticultural business open." That includes AmericanHort's Coronavirus Resource Center.
Hall, meanwhile, will forecast the upcoming year for the nursery, greenhouse and landscape actors. That will include the "implications of COVID-19 including the likely macro-level impacts on the economy, the policy tools being utilized to combat the negative effects on the economy, the likelihood of recession, and the micro-level strategies that green industry firms need to embrace immediately to position themselves to weather the impending downturn successfully." The webinar will also include time for questions at the end of the presentation.
