Garden center retailers are turning to online sales and curbside pickup now more than ever to help keep retail businesses safely open. These are two ways to provide no-contact sales.
Join AmericanHort and Proven Winners for a panel discussion to learn more about what no-contact sales can look like and will keep the safety and well-being of customers and employees in check. Dr. Bridget Behe, professor of horticulture from Michigan State University will moderate a panel discussion where you will learn from retailers who have had this sales model in place for a while and from a retailer who is new to the game.
Hear from the panelists:
Jennifer Moss, director of sales and marketing, Moss Greenhouses, Jerome Idaho. Moss started online sales with curbside pick-up and delivery service this spring. Jennifer will share what she has learned as they’ve entered these new sales channels.
Ben Polzin, owner of Down to Earth Garden Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Polzin will share what he has learned from operating a small boutique and garden center’s with moderate online sales experience.
Jill Umpherville, owner of Dutch Gardens in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Dutch Growers started as a nursery and has vastly expanded into a variety of plant and product offerings for the home. Jill will share her online sales expertise.
Ask the panelists your questions as the industry leans on each other for ideas and guidance dealing with no-contact sales. No matter where IGCs stand on the spectrum of experience with no-contact sales, businesses will take away ideas and learn best practices on what to do and what not to do to improve their business procedures.
The recording will be available on the AmericanHort Coronavirus Resource Center.
