More than 40 ANLA members graduated from ANLA's Garden Center University last week. The Class of 2010 celebrated on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., after completing their training with " Professor" and Garden Center magazine contributing editor Ian Baldwin.
This dynamic group of garden center owners and managers formed a tight-knit community of learning, sharing, and helping one another improve their businesses. As with many retail garden centers this past year, this group saw a slight decline in both customer count and sales. However, the Class of 2010's average net profit was up 7.1 percent.
