Bailey Nurseries has hired Amanda Flint as its new product development manager.
This leadership change comes as Debbie Lonnee, who led the team for more than 30 years, prepares for her retirement at the end of 2025. To support a smooth transition, Lonnee has moved into the role of senior product developer, where she will share insights, relationships and decades of experience with Flint and the team.
“Debbie has been a cornerstone of Bailey, playing an instrumental role in the development and success of Bailey’s proprietary plant programs,” said Chief Marketing and Product Development Officer Alec Charais. “We are incredibly grateful for her ongoing leadership and mentorship, and we wish her the best in this new chapter.”
Flint joins Bailey with more than a decade of product leadership in the industry. Flint will be responsible for breeder relations globally, product trialing and go-to-market planning for Bailey intellectual property. This includes genetics targeted for Bailey consumer brands Endless Summer Hydrangeas, First Editions Shrubs & Trees and Easy Elegance Roses.
"The caliber of people at Bailey and genetic offering over its 120 years of operations is truly inspirational,” Flint said. “I’m honored to be part of a team that is shaping the future of horticulture.”
“Having Amanda join Bailey strengthens our legacy of bringing exceptional new plants to the industry and positions us for future growth,” Charais said. “She brings a strong background in horticulture, innovation and strategic portfolio management, and we are excited to welcome her into this critical role.”
Flint begins her role effective immediately and can be reached at amanda.flint@baileynurseries.com or 612-258-7482.
