WEST CHICAGO, IL – This summer, Ball Seed Field Day & Landscape Day will combine and feature informative presentations from industry experts, garden tours of the latest varieties, and networking opportunities with top suppliers. The event will take place July 25, 2014, and customers of Ball Seed, retailers, and landscape businesses can visit The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Ill., for a full day of activities and festivities.
The Gardens at Ball will feature more than 150,000 plants, representing hundreds of breeders and suppliers. Attendees can view the latest plant introductions, including Easy Wave Velour petunias, EnduraScape verbena, Kabloom seed calibrachoa, and Bounce interspecific impatiens. Ball Seed Field Day visitors can stroll the 8 acres of annual and perennial trial gardens, and take part in guided tours of Ball's seed lab.
Idea swaps and presentations featuring leading retailers and landscapers will take place throughout the day, and Dr. Allan Armitage, professor emeritus of Horticulture at the University of Georgia, will give the keynote address. In addition, suppliers on-site will offer tips and best practices for improving business.
