GIE Media, Inc., C. Raker & Sons and Hort Couture announce the cancellation of the green industry event, BloomaPalooza.
“Our BloomaPalooza concept was created as an innovative opportunity to connect plant breeders to retailers in a one-of-a-kind business format, but business uncertainty — resulting from weather conditions that have delayed the retail season in many areas of the country — resulted in low pre-registration numbers” explains Jim Monroe from Hort Couture.
GIE Media Chairman, Richard Foster, agrees, “The team put together a superb education and music program with the intention of bringing all levels of the supply chain together in an exciting, high-energy environment, but at this point one month away from the event we just don’t have the attendee numbers that will deliver the value we’ve promised our exhibitor and sponsor customers that are the major financial backers of BloomaPalooza.”
“To show our appreciation for those who supported and showed enthusiasm for this event, we are dedicating the BloomaPalooza dates, August 1-3, to independent garden center retailers, and will feature special hosting and programs for visitors to the Raker Trial Gardens on those days,” adds Gerry Raker of C. Raker & Sons.
All attendees, exhibitors and sponsors will be refunded within the next 30 days.
The Raker Trial Gardens are open July 17th through August 30th.
