A fire broke out Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. at Burke Nursery & Garden Centre in Burke, Va, near a pile of mulch, according to the local NBC news affiliate. Photos and footage of the blaze looked dramatic, but according to the company's Facebook page, the flames were contained quickly. No one was injured. Burke posted this message on its Facebook page:
Burke Nursery & Garden Centre wants to thank the Burke Fire Department for their quick response in extinguishing a fire at our nursery on September 22, 2014. While the pictures were spectacular, the fire was actually small and contained within less than one hour. No one at the Nursery was injured and the Nursery is open for business. We want to thank everyone who has called, emailed, or sent us best wishes on Facebook.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
