The hosts of the California Spring Trials met during the recent 2010 OFA Short Course in Columbus, Ohio, and have revised the dates for the 2011 California Spring Trials.
The new dates chosen for 2011 are Saturday, March 26, through Friday, April 1. Individual locations may choose to extend those dates on either side to accommodate additional visitors, but those seven days make up the core of the event.
The California Spring Trials have been held annually for more than 40 years. Hosted by the participating breeding companies, the California Spring Trials is a venue for unveiling new and innovative plants and programs, peer-to-peer networking, unique educational opportunities, inspirational displays and much more. Attendees include broker reps, growers, retailers, landscapers and media from all over the world.
“Because spring is spring – busy for everyone - it can be a challenge to set the dates," said John Gaydos, Director of Product Development and Promotion for Proven Winners North America. "We take into consideration other industry events, the selling season across the levels, the number of hosts and the sheer size of California, and, of course, the best time to grow quality plant material that truly represents its potential. Visitors can be assured our mission is to choose dates that can work for all.”
Due to the changing needs of attendees and trial hosts, the dates for Spring Trials from 2012 onwards will be agreed upon annually during the OFA Short Course, and then announced shortly thereafter.
