Calloway’s Nursery, Inc. (PK: CLWY) received the prestigious Summit Award from the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) at its awards banquet Aug. 16, 2013, in Dallas, according to a press release from Calloway's.
The Summit Award is the highest honor bestowed by the TNLA and is given annually to one firm nominated by peers that exemplifies innovation, service and highly ethical business practices.
The TNLA 2013 Summit Award recognizes significant and exceptional contributions made by Calloway’s Nursery to the association and its member firms along with exemplary representation of the association’s values among professional organizations, local businesses and the nursery and landscape field. Calloway’s and Cornelius Nursery employs more Texas Certified Nursery Professionals and Master Certified Nursery Professionals than any other Nursery and Landscape firm in Texas, according to the release.
“The Calloway’s and Cornelius team of hard-working, dedicated professionals earned this recognition," said Calloway’s Nursery Founder and President Jim Estill. "It was an honor for John Peters and me to have accepted it on behalf of such a talented team that always delivers the very best no matter the obstacles.”
The Texas Nursery & Landscape Association represents all aspects of the Green Industry in Texas. In addition to education, certification, and legislative/regulatory representation, TNLA produces the Nursery and Landscape Expo held annually. TNLA represents the producers of the second largest row crop in Texas, the third largest nursery and floriculture-producing state in the United States and an industry whose total post-farmgate sales exceeds $13 billion annually.
Founded in 1986, Calloway's Nursery, Inc. is a 19-store garden center chain serving the Dallas - Fort Worth (as Calloway's Nursery) and Houston (as Cornelius Nursery) markets.
