2022 CAST preview: HilverdaFlorist

Notable new varieties to be introduced at CAST 2022 by HilverdaFlorist:

Five uniform introductions in the Salvia Salgoon series make Salgoon the only series with six unique colors, including last year’s introduction Strawberry Lake, based on the same uniform compact growing habits. The Salgoon Series is known for its strong genetics, uniform growing habits, heat tolerance and heavy bloom set. The introductions are Lake Onega, Lake Baikal, Lake Titicaca, Lake Victoria and Lake Garda. The Salvia Salgoon really thrives in the garden but can grow in a large planter as well.

Cheerful and Devotion are the new blooming introductions in the fast-flowering Echinacea MOOODZ series from tissue culture. Cheerful has large, bright yellow flowers, an overwhelming first flush and compact growing habits with rich flowering. Devotion is the first red addition in the assortment, is fast flowering and creates an impressive floral display. The MOOODZ Echinacea are more vigorous and create more flower buds compared to Echinacea from seed. Combine these Echinacea in a garden or in a large patio planter.

Beach Valley is the new introduction in the Summer Paradise - Valley Series. The Valley Series consists of compact garden Alstroemeria. Beach Valley has large, elegant champagne-colored flowers and is a strong plant that is perfect for transport and different weather conditions. To top it all off, Beach Valley keeps on flowering until late in the season and creates a beautiful sea of flowers in every garden.

For the coming season there are three new varieties in the Garvinea Garden Gerbera assortment. In the popular Sweet Series: Sweet Vibe and Sweet Sparkle. In the double flowered Garvinea Majestic Series: Majestic Purple. Sweet Vibe is a strong yellow that truly stands out because of its dark center. Sweet Sparkle is a hot pink with large flowers. This color is new in the assortment. Majestic Purple has beautiful bright purple double flowers and has a very high flower count.

These two new Patio Gerbera introductions have a massive flower diameter. Hot Springs has a massive flower diameter up to 6 inches, combined with the hot pink color this is a real eyecatcher! Daintree is a unique bicolor with an exceptional double flower shape.

Two years ago, HilverdaFlorist introduced the Patio Gerbera Glorious Series. This series is an addition to the existing unique Patio Gerbera Series and has huge double flowers. In the double flowered Patio Gerbera Glorious Series there is a lovely light pink introduction, Glorious Light Pink.
