Most garden centers are great with helping the "Green Thumbs." Thanks to an impressive online Plant Finder feature, Van Wilgen's Garden Center in North Branford, Conn., also makes gardening life immeasurably better for the novice.
Once visitors follow the links to this section of the company website, they can navigate a series of prompts that will show them the ideal plants for practically any gardening application. Do you want an annual? Check. How about a perennial? Again, check. What about a perennial that will be located in a "full sun" area that attracts butterflies? Once again, the Plant Finder ... well ... finds plants that match almost any criteria a customer throws at it.
And then, of course, the customer can simply drive to the store, ask for help finding said plant and drive home happy that the gardening process was made so darned easy.
If plants are "your thing," then you could learn a thing or two dozen from Van Wilgen's Garden Center's great Plant Finder. Another thing you'll probably find once you implement a like system of your own: Plenty of "Cha-ching!"
Looking for a Cha-ching! you might have missed? Go to the search box and type Cha-ching! Items are listed by date.
