Valley Green Lawn & Garden Center in Rapid City, S.D., has found a winning way to brand its staff: It posts pictures on the company website of various folks with whom customers deal or will deal in the future.
The person pictured above is Vickie, the nursery manager. Customers can also 'virtually meet' Maggie and Kathleen, even before they really meet them. By putting a face to the place, Valley Green has told folks that visit. "we're a people-friendly business," a very prudent practice, especially today when busy shoppers have to decide among businesses they plan to frequent.
Of course, once those shoppers meet Vickie, Maggie and Kathleen, they grow the bond begun with three simple images on a website. That's marketing done right. That's also a recipe for "Cha-ching!"
