If you've read the Success Series in Garden Center magazine this year, you know that its author, Chad Harris, is a huge proponent of delivering stellar customer service at The Garden Gates in Metairie, La.
It's part of the many gospels he has spread in the column -- and to the folks in the greater New Orleans area -- since he and wife Beth opened the store in 1990. And it's manifested this month in a program that has customers singing the store's praises.
Throughout the holiday season, The Garden Gates isn't just offering Christmas trees; it is adorning them with lights AND delivering the Fraser Firs to customers homes. In today's fast-paced world, that's a multi-faceted service that is not only welcomed, but clearly appreciated. "Thanks Garden Gate -- It was soooo easy to buy our beautiful Christmas Tree from you!! Love your delivery service!! You Dat!!," one satisfied customer wrote the Harrises on the company's Facebook page.
For those who don't speak Cajun, "You Dat!!!" means The Garden Gates not only meets customer expectations, it exceeds them. Or, in other words, "Cha-ching!"
