Sometimes, the best way to send the message that you're in it for the long haul is to do a slight overhaul. That's what Moscarillo's Garden Shoppe in Torrington and West Hartford, Conn., accomplished during the "off season," and manager RJ Domack thinks it will pay dividends this spring.
"For 2011 we want to make sure everything looks fresh, which includes fixing greenhouse benches and adding some new paint," said Domack. "I think our repainted building -- especially with its new, bright color -- invigorates not only employees, but customers as well. Any noticeable upkeep shows people we are here to stay, even with the economy being the way it is."
In a sense, Moscarillo's Garden Shoppe is now both NEW and IMPROVED. And, where customers are concerned, that usually translates into a heapin' helpin' o'
