Jan and George Wallace opened Sugar Creek Garden Center in Fort Mill, S.C., last year, and, as might be expected, they were taken on the proverbial roller coaster ride that is starting a new business.
One of the big "ups" was the almost instantaneous relationship building the Wallaces were abe to do with well-established garden clubs and groups in their region. "Recently, we entered into an agreement with Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden to supply their retail store," Jan said. "It's a great opportunity for both of us, and we are looking forward to working together to provide classes and events for the community."
The various partnerships, such as the aforementioned one, have served a variety of purposes, not the least of which was to help put the Sugar Creek name front and center with potential customers. As a result, you can now take that "potential" title off of many of those.
And, in the grand "Cha-ching!" scheme, that transition is probably the best part of the roller coaster ride.
