Stein Garden & Gifts has 16 stores in Wisconsin, so it's likely almost anyone with almost any kind of plant need will see it answered at one or more of the locations.
Or ...
They can visit the company website, click on the Plant Finder link, add some specifics about what they want, and -- presto! -- there's a list of plants that fit the bill. Say, a customer is looking for a rose that will grow to roughly four feet in height with no more than a 4-foot width. And say, this plant needs to have a medium growth rate. The customer can enter those perameters, hit "search," and she will find in seconds that there are 38 such rose varieties available at various Stein locations. Not only that, she'll see pictures of each, along with cultural information, landscape application suggestions and growing tips.
With today's younger customer being groomed virtually from birth to expect quick results, the Plant Finder is a fabulous tool for: (A) helping her meet that need, and (B) helping the store establish itself as a customer-friendly garden center.
Oh, there's a (C), as well. Yep, you guessed it: "Cha-ching!"
Looking for a Cha-ching! you might have missed? Go to the search box and type Cha-ching! Items are listed by date.
