Tagawa Gardens in Centennial, Colo., reaches out to its community in a variety of innovative ways, including via its own Garden Ambasador, Luan Akin.
Akin, a former television news reporter, is available to present seminars for local garden clubs, ladies groups, school classrooms, etc. And the list of topics she can discuss is remarkable, both in volume and depth. Her areas of expertise include indoor and outdoor plants, veggies, wildlife habitats, bugs ... the list is actually quite lengthy.
To complement Akin's presentations, Tagawa Gardens' staff offers an Outreach Deptartment that is happy to help provide a tour, seminar or other activity -- at the garden center or "off campus."
Measures such as these help keep Tagawa Gardens top-of-mind with local residents, who see the garden center not just as a place to shop but a place to enjoy in a number of ways. In the meantime, the staff at Tagawa Gardens gets to enjoy something as well: some well-earned "Cha-ching!"
Looking for a Cha-ching! you might have missed? Go to the search box and type Cha-ching! Items are listed by date.
