If you've ever visited Terrain at Styers, the revolutionary upscale garden center in Glen Mills, Pa., you've discovered that much of the company's success is based on the brand itself. This isn't a typical garden center, and everything about the store and about the marketing of the store suggests ... well ... that this isn't a typical garden center.
Take the upcoming Late Summer Cheese & Honey Festival, set for Aug. 27. The store is hoping to attract a large gathering of customers to sample food and beverages from local businesses, including home-grown beers. It's a high-brow affair that fits in with the image Terrain has created from Day One.
Whether you're that -- or something else -- you are certainly SOMETHING. And your ability to market what you are so that customers immediately recognize you as different from the competition will serve you well. Terrain can attest to what branding can do. It's pronounced "Cha-ching!"
Looking for a Cha-ching! you might have missed? Go to the search box and type Cha-ching! Items are listed by date.
