Corso's Flower & Garden Center stays top-of-mind with customers on a daily basis, thanks to its online feature, "Deal of the Day."
The garden center in Sandusky, Ohio, will post a cut flower arrangement (thus flexing its florist-element muscles) that smacks of beautiful or timely. But that's not all. In a move of marketing genius, the store also offers a variety of sizes for the plants, as well as add-ons that enhance the package -- and bump up revenue from the sale.
Obviously, this kind of marketing strategy requires due diligence -- someone has to plan what items in the store will be featured and then make sure said items are posted daily. But the windfall from the move is a branding element that sets Corso's apart and a lot of potential for "Cha-ching!" every single day.
