We know you’re all too familiar with the checkout process: Pick up heavy plant. Scan. Put back on cart. Endlessly repeat.
Garden centers purchasing from Overdevest Nurseries in New Jersey are enjoying a new innovation that makes this cumbersome process a bit easier. The grower has developed a price label that makes scanning plants at checkout more convenient for both staff and customers.
Developed with the Garden Marketing Group, this adhesive label features a perforated lower portion with less-aggressive glue, allowing it to be readily separated from the rest of the label. Essential information (plant name, size, price and UPC code) is repeated on the removable portion allowing for convenient scanning – while plants are kept in the cart or loaded into vehicles beforehand.
Definitely a “why didn’t I think of that?” moment!
