Winter Garden, Fla., March 1, 2017 – Container Centralen, Inc. (CC, Inc.) is excited to announce a new contest that awards cash prizes for the most accurately estimated distance a CC Rack travels in a 12-month period.
The CC team assigned GPS coordinates to the location history of its 450,000 racks and then calculated the distance traveled by each rack in a 12-month period.
AJ Lambert, Director of Account Management, commented “We were surprised by the results and decided it would be a fun challenge for other users of nursery racks to ‘guesstimate’ how far one of these assets can travel in a year. Our team decided to set up a contest for the horticultural industry with cash prizes for the most accurate estimate of the maximum distance traveled by a CC nursery rack in the previous 12 months.”
The competition is open to all horticulture industry professionals (refer to official contest rules). A cash prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the contestant who submits the most accurate estimate of the maximum distance traveled by a CC rack in the previous 12 months. The employer of the successful contestant will also receive $1,000.
To minimize chance of duplicating the estimate from another contestant, CC recommends each entry should specify miles, yards and perhaps even inches However, in the event of duplicate estimates, the first entry received will be given priority.
The only guidance that CC can offer to assist with estimates is that CC’s 450,000 nursery racks are operated in the 48 contiguous states of the USA and Canada from 45 CC Depot locations, and are used at 450 customer locations for shipment to over 15,000 retail garden center locations.
Entries need to be received by March 26, 2017, and results will be announced March 30, 2017.
The contest is hosted on CC, Inc.’s Facebook page. Give the page a `Like’, and then enter the contest via the post about `Rack Distance Traveled’.
