Contech Enterprises acquires Christmas Mountains Manufacturing Inc.

Contech Enterprises just announced the acquisition of New Brunswick-based Christmas Mountains Manufacturing Inc. Best known as the makers of Santa’s Solution Christmas tree stands, Christmas Mountains distributes a complete line of premium Christmas products.

While a Christmas products company might seem an unconventional addition to Contech’s current lawn and garden and pet wellness lines, CEO Mark Grambart explained the fit: “The Santa’s Solution product line is exceptionally well-made. Their slogan, ‘Made for a lifetime, not a landfill,’ really resonated with us and fit well with our goal of providing quality, innovative solutions to common problems. In addition, the Santa’s Solution products complement our product line with a selling season that begins when the lawn and garden season starts to slow down.”

Christmas Mountains owners, Mike and Dave Bolster, are excited about the growth potential the acquisition brings. “We built the first factory with one product and just one customer back in 1993. With the help of our family, especially our father Stuart, a chartered accountant, we managed to expand our product line and our customer base over the last nineteen years. While we now sell fifteen products to hundreds of companies, large and small, the acquisition by Contech makes it possible to grow larger and faster than we could have otherwise” said Mike Bolster. Added Grambart “Mike and Dave have a wealth of experience in retail sales, particularly in the Christmas category and we are excited to have them join the Contech team.”
