Costa Farms has launched “GrowingStyle,” www.growingstylemag.com, a digital magazine that targets eco-minded and tech-savvy consumers. The inaugural issue includes new plant information, trends and decorating how-to tips with houseplants.
According to Costa Farms, the nation’s largest producer of indoor houseplants, GrowingStyle is the first e-zine that focuses on branded content for decorating with houseplants. It uses the same technology as other digital magazines. The publication is available as a free app for iPad, iPhone and Android-based devices.
“We want to attract gen X and Y who get most of their information digitally -- whether online or through their smartphones,” said Jose Smith, president of Costa Farms. “Our new digital magazine connects with this mobile generation and brings them into the conversation about the benefits of houseplants to go truly green and enrich our lives.”
Doug Jimerson, editor-in-chief of all gardening content for Better Homes & Gardens, offered this comment on the new GrowingStyle e-zine: “This is yet another tool that expands the fascinating world of plants to a younger generation and helps grow our entire industry.”
