Darwin Perennials is hosting its annual Darwin Perennials Day in The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Illinois, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Online registration, the full event schedule and travel and lodging information is available at darwinperennialsday.com.
The event connects perennial growers, garden center businesses and professional landscapers with plant suppliers across North America. Guests will experience with Zone 5 overwintered trial garden comparisons, new variety introductions and access to perennial vendors and plant specialists for further education.
“The excitement for perennials is growing, and the annual Darwin Perennials Day event is a key resource for growers building their programs,” said Marion Meesenburg, marketing specialist for Darwin Perennials. “It’s a full day of connections — with peers, with experts and with plants. The experience helps your business this season and beyond.”
The current Darwin Perennials Day event schedule includes:
- Perennials gardens containing more than 500 varieties
- A 2026 New Variety Showcase
- More than 25 suppliers
- Tours of The Gardens, the new Seed Distribution center and an interactive video tour of the Darwin Colombia Vegetative Farm, a South American farm that supports Darwin Perennials' unrooted cutting supply
- Keynote panel discussion, “Stop Stressing About Perennial Production!” with experts using five elements of plant growth to grow better perennials.
There is no cost to attend Darwin Perennials Day. A grab-and-go breakfast and lunch is provided, and each visitor will receive a free perennial plant.
Darwin Perennials, a division of Ball Horticultural Company, is a breeder and producer of vegetative perennials for the greenhouse and nursery industries.
