DIY Network’s “Cool Tools” 2009 National Hardware Show special is scheduled to air throughout the Thanksgiving weekend at various times around the clock (check local listings). The “Cool Tools” National Hardware Show Special features all kinds of tools that the producers found on the show floor of this year’s event. This year, the editors of Popular Mechanics lent a hand in searching out the cool tools while voting on their “Editors Choice Awards” presented at the show.
Each week, millions of DIY fans view “Cool Tools,” hosted by Chris Grundy. Tool expert and avid do-it-yourselfer Grundy is living his dream. He has found a way to earn a living doing what he loves best: hosting Cool Tools, a TV show all about innovative products, funky gadgets and cutting-edge technology. This passion puts him on the forefront of the latest developments in the industry and in the enviable position of getting a sneak peek at the very latest do-it-yourself tools. In fact, he recently finished an outdoor kitchen at his home using some of the very tools he’s discovered while bringing Cool Tools to DIY Network viewers.
“Cool Tools is one of the best DIY shows on cable television,” said Ed Several, NHS group vice president and show manager. “We are thrilled that DIY Network comes to the show each year to find unique and innovative tools. For many manufacturers, as well as ‘up-and-comers’ and inventors, exposure of this kind is priceless.”
The National Hardware Show will be held on May 4-6, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event celebrates a rich history spanning 65 years of serving the home improvement marketplace. From its early beginnings in New York during the post-World War II housing boom and eventual move to Chicago in the 1970s to today’s current location in Las Vegas, the National Hardware Show continually evolves through the industry’s involvement, commitment and passion to improving America’s quality of life through their homes.
