Knowing growers are always looking for ways to do more with less and differentiate themselves from the competition, Emerald Coast Growers has rolled out the versatile new Custom 128 Program.
Designed for flexibility to accommodate growers’ individual requests, the new stick-to-order service gives customers the opportunity to purchase varieties that are usually offered in only one quantity.
“The new custom 128 program lets us better serve our customers with lower input costs and smaller sizes, while tailoring our products to each grower’s unique business needs,” said Cheri Markowitz, Emerald Coast Growers’ sales manager.
The program, which debuted at the OFA Short Course, features a wide selection of popular perennials and ornamental grasses.
Perennial selections include: Coreopsis ‘Jethro Tull’, Coreposis ‘Moonbeam’, Dianthus ‘Firewitch’, Echinacea ‘Magnus’, Echinacea ‘Prairie Splendor’™, Echinacea purpurea (Coneflower), Echinacea ‘Ruby Star’, Echinacea ‘White Swan’, Gaura ‘Siskiyou Pink’, Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm’, Rudbeckia triloba (Black-eyed Susan), Verbena ‘Homestead Purple’ and Veronica ‘Sunny Border Blue’.
Ornamental grass selections include: Carex buchananii (Leatherleaf sedge), Carex comans ‘Bronze’, Carex comans ‘Frosted Curls’, Carex flagellifera ‘Toffee Twist’ and Melinus nerviglumis ‘Savannah’.
