The 2019 Farwest Show, Aug. 21–23 in Portland, Oregon, will showcase four of the area’s garden centers on its Go-to Garden Centers Retail Tour from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The retail locations on this tour will show guests merchandise displays, product designs, retail space layouts and other ideas that are worth emulating. The tour is sponsored by The Peters Company of Wilsonville, Oregon.
The cost is $99 per person for those who register before July 31 and $119 per person for those who register Aug. 1 or later. Space is limited as the tours only accommodate 50 people each. Registered attendees will be transported by luxury motor coach and provided with lunch, beverages and snacks. All tours will depart and return from the north entrance of the Oregon Convention Center. Personal vehicles are not allowed.
The Go-to Garden Centers Retail Tour will explore four garden centers with a reputation for exceptional customer feedback. The first stop will be at Cornell Farm (Portland), which nurtures a casual atmosphere that entices customers to spend the day there. Next, Farmington Gardens (Beaverton) will share how it meets customers’ needs with unique products, installation services and floral design. After lunch, tourists will stop at The Garden Corner (Tualatin), to see their popular container garden offerings and hear how this unique destination nurtures “garden rebels.” The last stop will be Dennis’ 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center (Lake Oswego), which was newly remodeled and offers spectacular plant and local gift selections.
Registration is required for the Go-to Garden Centers Retail Tour. Get your tickets online at: https://farwestshow.com/register/
