Breeder and propagator Florist Holland B.V. will carry on all Gerbera activities of Preesman Plants by June 15, focusing on specialization within the Gerbera genetics. Preesman will focus decentralization of breeding activities, concentrating mainly on roses and further positioning of the Peruvian lily and chrysanthemum.
Florist Holland production and services will begin with the start of the new sales season: Sept. 1, 2012. Until then, the two companies will be working closely on the transition. Florist Holland will retain Preesman's international sales range as much as possible, and will take on some employees working on Gerbera breeding and production at Preesman.
Florist Holland will continue to offer its own brand of standard and mini varieties of the Gerbera.
