Students studying horticulture or a related subject at at two or four-year institution in the Wisconsin/Illinois/Minnesota area will be eligible for a $1,000 unrestricted scholarship from the 2016 Garden Center Symposium.
According to a press release from the Garden Center Symposium, the deadline for application is Dec. 1, 2015. To be eligible, the applicant should be majoring or minoring in horticulture or a field applicable to a green industry with preference given to those with an interest in a career in the garden center industry. The application should have at least one quarter or semester remaining following spring term 2016 and have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
The Garden Center Symposium has sponsored its educational event/trade show for over fifty years. The Jan. 20-21, 2016 event will be held at the Country Springs Hotel and Conference Center in Waukesha, Wis.
