Garden Centers of America announced its 2011 Supplier and Garden Center of the Year at the opening reception of GCA’s Summer Tour on June 13.
Imperial Nurseries, headquartered in Granby, Conn., was named Suppler of the Year by the association. The company grows and supplies landscape plants for retailers throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southeast markets.
L.A. Reynolds Garden Showcase in Winston-Salem, N.C., was named Garden Center of the Year. The store was started in 1991 by the members of the Long Family: Jerry, Ken and Mike. It is now the largest nursery in the Triad area, and a favorite among local residents receiving the Readers’ Choice Award from the Winston-Salem Journal in 2009 and 2010.
