GardenComm has announced the recipients of its 2025 honors, which recognize exceptional leaders in garden communication.
“We’re thrilled to recognize the individuals and organizations that have contributed so much time and talent to the art of garden communication,” said Maria Zampini, past president of GardenComm and chair of the Honors Committee.
Awards will be presented at the annual Honors & Laurel Media Awards dinner on July 11 during the Gather & Grow Mega Connect, held in advance of Cultivate’25 in Columbus, Ohio.
2025 GardenComm Honorees:
- Hall of Fame: Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp
- Fellows: Katie Elzer-Peters and Jessica Walliser
- Green Medal Sustainability Award: Heather Holm
- Cynthia Westcott Scientific Writing Award: Dr. Allan Armitage
- Emergent Communicator Award: Perla Sofía Curbelo-Santiago
- Wilfred J. Jung Distinguished Service Medal: Iseli Nursery
- Honorary Member: Piet Oudolf
- Corporate Leadership and Impact Award: Sandra Reid, The Davey Tree Expert Company

The dinner is part of GardenComm’s two-day Gather & Grow event, featuring guided urban garden tours and professional networking. All are welcome to attend. Registration is now open, and individual tickets for the dinner are still available.
