According to a report in the Duluth News Tribune, garden centers in parts of the state are seeing a surge in sales of ornamental, fruit and vegetable plants after an April 9 order from Gov. Tim Waltz lifted the state's coronavirus-related closure of nurseries and garden centers.
The article posits that the bump in sales may be because customers "find solace in the familiar springtime ritual [of gardening]" and are increasingly seeking to grow their own fruits and vegetables. Click here to read the full report.
