The GIE Media Horticultural Scholarship Program is dedicated to providing educational scholarships and business internships to university students majoring in environmental horticulture.
“Students at the top horticulture programs in the United States are the future of the green industry,” said Richard Foster, CEO and founder of GIE Media. “Our contributions – and those from companies and suppliers across the industry – will help support the academic and business education of these students and ensure their continued success.”
Awards – both academic scholarships and business internships in the landscape, greenhouse, nursery, golf course and garden center industries – will be made to standout students at the 2011 OFA Short Course in Columbus, Ohio. Subsequent awards will be given at major green industry events throughout the rest of the year. Industry companies and suppliers are encouraged to support the scholarship fund; any donations will be matched by Lawn & Landscape.
