Learn how to incorporate green roof design and supplies into your landscape design or contractor business at the Green Roof 101 Course during the 2011 National Green Centre, set for Jan. 9-10 in St. Louis, Mo.

Presented by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities of Toronto, Ontario, the course on green roof infrastructure design presents many of the tools and techniques needed to meet your green roof project objectives on schedule, to specification, and within budget.

What You Will Learn:

• Determine major functions and components of a green roof;

• Describe characteristics and assess various advantages of different green roof systems;

• Utilize an integrated design process in your project for maximum benefit;

• Evaluate the major market drivers encouraging the green roof industry in North America;

• Obtain maximum points by integrating a green roof into the US Green Building Council LEED Accreditation point system.
