NEW YORK (August 3, 2016) – GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators has announced the recipients of its 2016 Honors and 2016 Media Awards Silver Medals.
2016 GWA Honors
GWA Honors are the association’s highest designations, recognizing excellence and service in green communications industry. This year’s honors included Hall of Fame, Honorary Member, Fellow, Wilfred J. Jung Distinguished Service Medal and for the first time ever, the Emergent Communicator Award recognizing talent under 40.

GWA Honors recipients will be presented their awards on September 19 at the 2016 Awards & Honors Dinner at the GWA Annual Conference & Expo in Atlanta, GA.
2016 GWA Media Awards Silver Medal Winners
GWA recognizes this year’s Silver Medal winners of the GWA Media Awards, a special designation awarded to the top 10% of each competition category. These winners are now entered for judging in the Gold Medal Round, where awards will be given for the best of each award class.
This year’s competition included more than 250 entries in several categories including: Writing, Photography, Social Media, Online Media, Broadcast Media, Publishing, and Trade.
