The Fleming Hybrids have increased disease resistance and stand up to drought, wind and flood conditions better than other cultivars. They are easy to grow once established.
Plants prefer full sun and fertile to average soil that is well-drained. It’s best not to let plants dry out.
Flowers measure 10-12 inches in diameter. Petals are overlapping to create stunning flowers.
Shrubs have a compact habit with an average height of 4 feet. They are all hardy in Zones 4-9.
‘David Fleming’ has relaxed, bold ruby-red flowers with contrasting stamens with bright-yellow anthers. The flowers combine well with the maroon-tinted foliage. Plants have a great form with strong, upright stems and a nice habit.
‘Stardust’ has lipstick-pink flowers with a small, red eye and exotic darker venation accented by a pale-pink stamen and yellow anthers. The large flowers have a notable relaxed form. Foliage is maplelike and soft green accented with purple. Plants have a great form with strong, upright stems and a nice habit.
‘Strawberries & Cream’ has bicolor flowers that are strong hot pink fading to pale pink with a glowing red center. This gives the illusion that flowers are double. Flower petals lay flat for a dramatic look. Foliage consists of 4-inch, lance-shaped leaves.
