North Carolina-based plant label and horticultural branding product producer HIP Labels has hired horticulture industry veteran Chris Copeland as general manager.
Copeland, who has significant expertise and experience in operations and logistics, will play a key role in developing and executing efforts that build on the HIP Labels reputation for innovation and solution.
“I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career,” Copeland said. “I’m excited to use my operational and logistical experience to help our partners meet the challenges of today and tomorrow with solutions for label management in general and order minimums and timeline alignments in particular.”
Most recently, he was chief operating officer at Metrolina Greenhouses' York facility, working with the company since 2013. From 2001 to 2013, he was employed by Layman Nurseries as general manager and Costa Layman as director of perennial sales.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Chris to our team,” said Bob Lovejoy, president and owner of HIP Labels. “Chris’ visionary approach, strategic mindset and passion for excellence align perfectly with HIP’s values and objectives. He will be a powerful asset to propel us to new heights and reinforce our position as an industry leader.”
