Hoffman Nursery has redesigned its website so that growers, landscape professionals and gardeners each have a separate section tailored to their needs and interests.
The website, www.hoffmannursery.com, went live at the end of 2012, and the nursery made the announcement about the updated website in February. The Rougemont, N.C.-based company, which specializes in ornamental and native grasses, wanted an “expanded resource for [customers] and to introduce newcomers to the world of ornamental and native grasses.”
There are specific sections for growers, landscape professionals and home gardeners. The grower section features topics such as overwintering, finish times and detailed plant profiles. The page for landscape professionals offers photo and idea galleries and tools to search for grasses and sedges based on function and site conditions. The home gardener section’s purpose is to educate consumers and increase demand for ornamental and native grasses.
The site also features a “Find Your Plants” section to make picking the right ornamental or native grass easier and expanded plant profiles complete with photos, detailed descriptions, container guidelines and more.
