St. Paul, MN -- Cape Cod is hosting the inaugural Hydrangea Festival in mid-July during hydrangea's peak blooming season. Dr. Michael Dirr is joining Heritage Museums & Gardens as the keynote speaker at the conference on July 14. Dr. Dirr's address, "The History of Hydrangeas -- Earliest Introductions to Current Developments," will highlight the resurgence of the hydrangea market in the recent decades and discuss breeding developments that have delivered some of today's most popular varieties, according to a press release from Bailey Nurseries, Inc.
Throughout the conference, attendees will have access to garden tours, lectures by renowned hydrangea experts and social events at Heritage Museums & Gardens.
